The FFE Transportation Services Intermodal program offers premium door to door service of temperature controlled and less than truckload freight from coast to coast. We operate under our own in-house UIIA contract agreements and utilize company owned equipment and drivers thus negating the need to outsource to third-party logistics companies. This allows us to present competitive pricing to our customers. FFE is ranked in the top five carriers who offer refrigerated Intermodal.   • Trailers rail fitted with lift pads, recessed fuel tanks and front nose reefer guard protection. New stock trailers also fitted with larger 75 gallon fuel tanks for longer haul lanes.

  • Dedicated and Intermodal driver fleets strategically placed in all major rail markets near hub facilities to handle in/outbound freight volumes. These fleets also double as local drayage options to help offer solutions to service our customer's growing needs. 

  • We have built trusted relationships with our rail service providers over the years, which in turn has allowed us premium positioning. This benefit is directly transferred to our customers.

  • 24 hr centralized base of operations allows for improved overall management of personnel, equipment and real time communication which is paramount in the transportation industry.  

  • Refueling and inspection points in major lanes allows for a proactive approach to help maintain freight integrity along extended transit routes. FFE Intermodal ships over 15,000 loads per year with products ranging from frozen foods to fresh produce.
